The WCCM (Wallonia Conference Center Mons) is without a doubt the most beautiful conference centre in all Wallonia. It offers large modular spaces for seminars, a four-star accommodation service, along with as a business centre and co-working spaces.
In the context of its takeover by the Van der Valk group (a leader in the business hospitality sector in Wallonia), we developed a website which enabled the group to announce its takeover of the WCCM as well as its new ambitions and guiding principles. You can browse the events that take place there, the services available to customers, and the advantages that Mons offers for organising events or co-working.
A fluid website
Our main challenge was to showcase the WCCM conference centre while maintaining a smooth navigation for the launch of the future coworking space. The goal was to provide our client's audience with practical information about the events taking place there, such as the venue, the equipment provided, etc.
We also aimed to build on the company's reputation to make it better-known at a national level in this new business sector.
- Showcase website presenting the Wallonia Conference Center Mons;
- Creation of prototypes;
- Information pages;
- Contact forms (reservation, free trial, and contact).
A smooth and intuitive experience
During the numerous workshops organised with the client we worked together to better understand the company's business, define the lines of communication, and to properly divide up the content of the site. After having determined the requirements inherent to the project, we designed wireframes in keeping with the rules of user experience (UX) in order to distribute the site's content in an optimal way.
A mock-up was then created on the basis of these workshops after the user interface (UI) framework had been validated.
- Drupal theming (set-up of a specific layout);
- Management of media in different formats (video, images, etc.);
- Option to add enriched content according to the user's wishes (whole paragraph, columns, alternating with an image, etc.);
- The site is multilingual (French, Dutch, and English).
